My StoryMy commitment to teaching stems from the tremendously positive influences that teachers have played in my own life. I consider literacy a keystone skill for any person, needed to decode the world around them and understand their relationships to community, place, friends, and self. Discussion, debate, creativity and humour are at the centre of my teaching practice.
This section should give you a small glimpse of "who I am," hopefully answering the question of "What's his story?" |

Beyond the Classroom |
My passions include coaching, long-distance bike trips, social and board games, camping, and reading – but all of these are framed by an overriding passion for food.
I love cooking and sharing food with friends and family, so much so that I even wrote a book about food in wartime Canada... [insert joke about dead-end Master's thesis here] I am happily married to my wife of just over two years, who you will see reluctantly captured in photographs below. |
